Yoga does not exist in heaven above, in the earth or in the nether world. Those proficient in Yoga declare that Yoga is the unity of the individual self and the supreme Self.

— Devi Gita VII.2 —

What is Yoga?

Yoga is an Ancient Technology of Self-Mastery and Universal Discovery.

It is a support system that guides us to our inner Self and the Divine.

From the Sanskrit root ::Yuj:: meaning to unite.

The Yoga System has many components, from philosophy to movement to meditation or even codes of conduct. Practicing Yoga is not only what you do in your weekly class or on your mat everyday. It is something you take with you. Something you have within you.

A system that helps you feel connected to your Inner and Outer World as you evolve throughout this lifetime (and maybe others?).

Books for life.

Even though we can’t live our life through the knowledge we gain from books, we can certainly transform for the better as we integrate what we read in our daily life.

Like the physical practice we perform on the mat, this is an intellectual one that can help us gain a clearer understanding and a glimpse into Self-Realisation.

This is the practice of Jñāna Yoga :: Path of Knowledge ::

There is an eternal peace at the core of our being in which is the ultimate state of rest, renewal, surrender and transcendence — where no thought can enter, the calm depth of the cosmic night of boundless awareness.
